From Account Setup to Your First Connection

Subscription Import and Connection Guide

Make sure your plan is active before importing the subscription into your client. Then check your exit IP and a real app—not just the “Connected” status.

Account Setup →

Create an Account and Open the Dashboard

Open the account page below and create a VPNFine account with a username and password. No email address is required. Follow the prompts beside the username and password fields, and check for accidental spaces before submitting. Use a unique password and save it in a trusted password manager. You’ll use the same account to view orders, get your subscription, and submit support tickets.

If the dashboard doesn’t open automatically after you create your account, sign in with the details you saved. You should be able to open the account overview and see your account and plan status. You haven’t chosen a plan yet, so there may be no active subscription or the status may show as pending. That doesn’t mean the client is broken. Continue to the next step instead of reinstalling the software.

If the page says your entry doesn’t meet the requirements, update the relevant field as instructed. If your account was created but you can’t sign in, check that you’re using the right account password and that autofill hasn’t inserted outdated details. Don’t share your password or subscription link in public forums. For help, describe the issue through the support ticket option after signing in.

Plan Selection →

Choose a Plan and Check Your Order Status

Open the plans section in the dashboard and compare monthly plans with data packages. Monthly plans are suited to regular use: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly from the activation date. Data packages are based on usage: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They expire when used up, but never expire with time. Check the billing terms before choosing; monthly data resets do not apply to data packages.

Choose a plan, then check the plan name, price, and data allowance on the order page before paying as directed in the dashboard. VPNFine supports Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT. Follow the instructions for your selected payment method. After payment, return to the dashboard and check that the order has updated and the plan appears in your account overview. Confirm activation in the dashboard as well as on the payment success page; closing the payment window alone doesn’t confirm that your plan is active.

If the status hasn’t updated, check the original order first. Don’t create another identical order. If you still have questions, keep your order details and submit a ticket in the dashboard; never share your account password. All plans support unlimited devices and come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. See the refund policy for details. If you upgrade mid-term, the price difference is converted into remaining days. Review the change shown in the dashboard before confirming.

You’re ready to continue when the account overview shows your active plan and its data allowance. Next, get your subscription; you don’t need to look for an installer on the plans page. Still comparing options? Review the full plan details, then return to the dashboard to choose a plan.

Get Your Subscription →

Get Your Subscription from the Account Overview

Once your plan is active, open the account overview and find the subscription or import section. This is the link your client uses to load route configurations—not a website address to open in a browser or an installer. First choose the client you plan to use, then select a compatible import option in the dashboard to avoid using an unsupported subscription format.

If one-click import is available, install and open the matching client, then return to the dashboard and select the import option. Your browser may ask permission to open an external app. Check the app name before proceeding, then confirm the new configuration in the client. If nothing happens, the client may not be installed, the browser may have blocked the handoff, or the device may not support that import method. You can copy the subscription link instead; there’s no need to keep clicking.

For manual import, copy the full subscription link, then paste it into the client’s “Subscription,” “Remote Configuration,” or “Import from URL” field. Give the configuration a recognizable local name, save it, and refresh it. You should see routes to choose from—not just an empty configuration. If the format isn’t supported, check the subscription format in the dashboard and try an import option supported by your client.

Your subscription link grants account-related access. Treat it as sensitive information: don’t share it publicly or paste it into unfamiliar online conversion tools. This page doesn’t display a real subscription link. If you think someone else may have obtained yours, check whether the dashboard offers a reset option. After resetting it, replace the old link on each of your devices. When you’ve got your subscription, continue with the platform-specific steps below.

Device Setup →

Import the Client for Your Platform

Open the client page in the dashboard and choose the VPNFine client and instructions for your device. Clients are available after sign-in for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux. To get a subscription, check your plan status in the account. iOS client availability depends on your account status; follow the instructions shown in the dashboard. The steps below describe common import options, but not every client has all of these menus.

Windows: Remote Configuration and System Proxy

Choose the Windows client in the dashboard, then download and install it according to your device and the on-page instructions. In the client, look for a configuration management option, often labeled “Configuration,” “Profile,” or “Subscription.” These clients load routes from a remote subscription, so you don’t need to enter each one manually. Use one-click import from the dashboard, or paste your copied subscription link into “Import from URL.” Save and refresh, then check that the routes appear in the list.

Select the imported configuration, then open the proxy or routes page and choose an exit route. If you’re using system proxy mode, enable it as directed by the client. Some apps don’t follow the system proxy, so check their settings separately. For your first connection, keep rule mode enabled, verify it in a browser, then test work or other apps. When you exit the client, make sure the proxy shuts down properly so apps don’t keep pointing to a stopped local proxy.

macOS: Import a Subscription and Allow Network Access

Get the macOS client from the dashboard. Open it and grant any permissions requested by the system. Go to the subscription or profile page and use the matching import option provided in the dashboard, if available. To import manually, choose the remote subscription option, paste the link, save, and refresh. If your browser asks to open the client, confirm it’s the app you just installed before allowing the handoff.

Once the configuration appears, set it as the active profile, choose a route, and enable the proxy. Tunnel modes may ask permission to add a network configuration. Verify the app’s source, then follow the system prompt. If routes are listed but webpages won’t load, check that the client has actually enabled the proxy—not just downloaded the configuration. Also check whether another network tool is managing the connection. For your first test, leave only this client running.

Android: Refresh the Subscription and Authorize the Connection

Get the Android client from the dashboard, install it, and open its “Configuration” or “Subscription” page. Use one-click import to open the app, or add a remote configuration and paste your subscription link. Save and refresh, then confirm that the routes appear before selecting the configuration. If you see a configuration name but no routes, check the refresh message and link format before changing Android’s network settings.

When you connect, Android may ask for permission to establish a VPN connection. Check the app name and confirm. If the client supports per-app settings, make sure your browser is included in the proxy scope for your first test. After connecting, open the app you want to use and make a new request. If it still shows old content, fully close and reopen it. If the connection drops only when the app is in the background, check whether battery management is restricting background activity.

iOS: Client Availability and Remote Subscriptions

Check the iOS availability instructions on the client page in the dashboard. Accounts with an active, unexpired plan can continue using the App Store link provided there. If your account doesn’t meet the requirements, follow the on-page instructions; don’t use installation steps for other platforms on iOS. Once you have the client, return to the dashboard and choose a compatible subscription import method, or add the remote link in the client’s subscription or configuration management section.

Save and refresh the subscription, then choose a route. When you connect for the first time, iOS may ask permission to add a VPN configuration. Verify the app’s source, complete system authorization, then return to the client and connect. The system status icon only indicates that a connection is present; it doesn’t confirm that your app is using the expected exit route. Complete the checks in the next section. If the subscription won’t refresh, first check the format and account status instead of repeatedly adding the same configuration.

Verify the Connection →

Connect to a Route and Check That It Works

Return to the client and make sure the active configuration is the one you just imported and refreshed. Choose a region and route. For your first test, use one exit route and avoid changing the protocol, mode, and several system settings at once. Connect and check for client errors. If the client reports missing permissions or no configuration selected, resolve that specific issue before testing in a browser.

Once connected, use IP lookup to check the exit information for your browser, then compare it with the result from before connecting. In rule mode, different websites may take different routes, so interpret the lookup result in the context of your client’s rules. One lookup page doesn’t tell you which exit every app is using. If needed, check whether the request matched a proxy rule before changing modes.

Next, open the website or app you actually plan to use and make a new request—for example, refresh a page, send a request, or reload content. If your browser works but an app doesn’t, first check whether it follows the system proxy, has its own proxy settings, or is included in the client’s per-app scope. A “Connected” status alone doesn’t mean every app is using the route.

If you suspect DNS isn’t following the expected path, check the client’s DNS instructions and test results. DNS resolution and a webpage’s exit route are different things; an unexpected DNS result alone doesn’t prove the connection has failed. For more on the differences between exit IPs, DNS, and per-app checks, see How to Check If Your VPN Is Working.

If it still doesn’t work, check these in order: whether your plan is active, whether the subscription refreshed successfully, whether the right configuration is selected, and whether system permissions are granted. Then try another route and test again. Note your platform, the client’s message, whether the issue occurred during refresh or connection, and what changed after switching routes. Submit these details through a dashboard support ticket—they’re more useful than “it doesn’t work.” Before attaching a screenshot, hide your subscription link and sensitive account details.

Your initial setup is complete when the app can make a new request and its exit route matches your expectations and rule settings. Keep the working configuration and refresh the subscription as described by your client. To compare IEPL dedicated lines, relays, direct routes, or protocols, see the protocol and routing reference.
